I live in the Odell community of Cabarrus. It’s the northwest corner of the county, where Rowan, Cabarrus, and Iredell all come together. My sister, and I own a family farm here. I live here, and my sister lives in Charlotte. It’s a tree farm, not a row crop farm. I grow a lot of my own food, and have lots of practical skills. I’m an engineer by education. I don’t do any animal husbandry, but I suppose I’ll probably get some chickens before too long. I’ve set up a wood fired furnace, that also heats my hot water. It works well. I’m considering a PV array, now that it’s cost effective, if you can design the system yourself, and build it. If you’d like to talk, call me at nine eight zero two four eight one two four zero.

I have a Warrenton, NC address, but live at the North Carolina / Virginia State Line. I would like to meet up with other preppers. Actually, I have been prepping all my life (necessity), but really have gotten into it in a more organized way over past couple of months.
